Thin Skin

When I see the face of Dr. King, I think of my Himalayan salt candle, how the fire is visible through its translucent exterior. That is what I see in Dr. King’s face and what is not visible in those made opaque by hate. Inner flame burning through translucent skin. It is visible in Aaron Bushnell’s face. I see, through his fragile skin, the fire that existed before the flames, the fire that exists after the flames.
