Darshan

Years after a mentorship,

Jorge and I still meet at Darshan.

We talk of all the things

we talked about at school:

society and social movement.

And of all the things

we couldn’t talk about then:

life and death and spirit.

Once, on Swami’s cliffs,

we watch the pelican’s V

sweep over a wave,

fluid themselves in their form,

wind channelers they are.

Jorge tells me

knows

when to slip back,

when to clear space,

has come
